Hardware Implementation of Algebraic Specifications

چکیده
The growing complexity of hardware devices being developed and increasing timeto-market constraints have scaled up the risk of designing bug-affected devices, thus increasing interest in formal design techniques. This approach considerably improves early error detection, giving good guarantees on the effectiveness of the devices produced. Design requires techniques to be provided to synthesise the device, while preserving its features. The proposed technique defines a hardware translation of LOTOS specifications into RTL. To preserve LOTOS synchronisation semantics a handshake protocol is defined.
